Kicking Off Our Autumn Season: A Vibrant Celebration of Creativity, Connection, and Craftsmanship
As the leaves began to turn and the children returned to school, we welcomed the start of our autumn season with an unforgettable Truffles & Ruffles lunch that set the tone for the months ahead. The excitement in the air was palpable as we gathered with design lovers, creatives, and small business owners who, like us, were ready to dive headfirst into the new season.

We couldn’t have asked for a better start. The tablescape was a feast for the eyes, carefully curated to celebrate craftsmanship, heritage, and colour—hallmarks of what Truffles & Ruffles is all about.
The Artistry of Casa Folklore and Elly Allen Curtains and Blinds
This time, our tablescape featured the beautiful and vibrant ceramics from Casa Folklore, founded by Alice, who specialises in bringing Romanian artistry to life. Casa Folklore celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Romania through its intricate and hand-painted ceramics, each piece reflecting centuries-old techniques passed down through generations. These stunning pieces, with their bold patterns and vibrant colours, transformed our table into a celebration of art and tradition. Each ceramic plate, bowl, and jug told a story, bringing a touch of folklore and craftsmanship to our gathering.
Complementing the ceramics were the exquisite linens crafted by Elly Allen from @ellyallencurtainsandblinds. Elly’s tablecloths and napkins featured her signature attention to detail, with delicate rickrack trim adding a playful yet sophisticated element to the setting. Her linens, handmade with care and precision, perfectly framed the vivid colours of the Casa Folklore ceramics, creating a harmonious and inviting tablescape. It was a true pleasure to have both Alice and Elly join us at the lunch to share the stories behind their creations and the craftsmanship that goes into each piece.
Capturing the Magic
Of course, no Truffles & Ruffles event is complete without capturing the essence of the day, and we were fortunate to have Malek from @malekbenhamida with us to do just that. His photography brought the event to life, preserving the joy, creativity, and laughter that filled the room. Whether it was the intricate details of the table setting or the candid moments of connection, Malek’s photos told the story of a beautiful day shared with friends, both new and familiar.
A Feast for All the Senses
The afternoon was further elevated by a delicious three-course vegetarian lunch prepared by Sophie of Edible Food Design. Sophie, known for her thoughtful and seasonal menus, crafted a feast that was as beautiful as it was delicious. The colours of the food mirrored the vibrant tablescape, creating a cohesive experience that delighted both the palate and the eyes. And, as always, Sophie ensured that everyone’s dietary needs were catered for, including our gluten-free guests, who enjoyed every course just as much as the rest of us!
A Breath of Fresh Air
The conversation flowed as easily as the wine, and there were plenty of laughs to go around, thanks to the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by Annie. As one of our guests beautifully described:
