The Best of the Cotswolds: An Unforgettable Truffles & Ruffles Lunch at Merchant House
Nestled in the heart of Charlbury, the Merchant House provided the perfect setting for one of the most memorable lunches of our season. Generously hosted by the wonderful Jo, this gathering was a true celebration of creativity, community, and the Cotswolds’ finest craftsmanship.
A Tablescape Collaboration to Remember
The tablescape, as always, was the centre piece of the afternoon. We had the immense pleasure of collaborating with the talented Lizzet Frausto, whose stunning table linens and napkins added an elegant yet whimsical touch to the setting, creating a visual feast that mirrored the beauty of the Cotswolds outside the windows and within the Merchant House. The table was also adorned with bone china ceramics by the incredibly talented Joanna Ling. Her delicate, hand-crafted pieces lent a refined sophistication to the table, perfectly complementing Lizzet’s linens and making every guest feel like they were dining in true luxury.
No Truffles & Ruffles event would be complete without an abundance of fresh flowers, and this lunch was no exception. The vibrant blooms were supplied by none other than Dahlia Beach, whose stunning flowers added a burst of colour and natural beauty to the table. The lush, seasonal flowers paired beautifully with the rest of the tablescape, enhancing the atmosphere and setting the tone for a relaxed yet elevated dining experience within the beauty of Jo's home.
